Our story
Council 10562 in Pasadena.
Our charter marks the beginning of Father Frank Urbanovsky Council in Pasadena, Texas. It joined us to a brotherhood that reaches back to a parish in Connecticut and a priest who saw what Catholic men could do together.

The Knights of Columbus is founded
Father Michael J. McGivney, a parish priest in New Haven, Connecticut, founds the Order to bring Catholic men together and to support families in need.

Our council receives its charter
The Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus grants a charter to Father Frank Urbanovsky Council No. 10,562 in Pasadena. The charter names the original members and authorizes them to organize and maintain the council.

Our founder is beatified
Father McGivney is beatified. The Church now honors him as Blessed Michael McGivney.
